Over time as society changes so does the way we watch tv or movies. Some of the biggest changes involving watching tv or movies is where we are watching it, what we are watching it on, and what source we are using to watch it. Streaming services have opened up a whole new door, you can watch what you want anywhere and anytime. Cable is a thing of the past and is being pushed aside, streaming services are the future.
Due to technological advancements and change people can now watch their shows wherever they want. Streaming services have allowed people to download their choice of streaming apps, and stream what they want when they want it. People can watch their favourite shows in the comforts of their homes, while waiting for a doctor’s appointment, while at the airport, in between classes, or while grocery shopping, really the possibilities are endless. This makes it so people can watch on their phones, TVs, computers, iPads, and many other devices.
There are lots of different streaming services out there that provide a large range of different movies and shows. The most commonly used streaming services are Disney+, Netflix, Apple TV, Amazon Prime, Paramount +, Hulu, Starz, ESPN+, HBO Max, and Peacock. All of these streaming services cost a varying amount of money. Most find the monthly cost of these streaming services to be a better deal than cable and that these services provide more options than cable. These new streaming services have caused cable tv to be essentially useless and the difference in prices really helps hammer that home. These streaming sources can give you what you want, and when you want it. Unlike cable for most of these services there is no having to wait for commercials or having to wait for a specific time for the show you want to watch.
